With more than 12 years of experience in residential construction, Cameron Hackett brings a deep passion for craftsmanship, community, and integrity to every home he builds. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Cameron has always been drawn to the satisfaction of transforming raw land into beautiful homes that families will enjoy for generations.
As President of Hackett Homes & Construction, Cameron leads with a focus on process, schedule, and quality. He values the company’s humble atmosphere and the freedom it gives him to make meaningful decisions that directly impact the success of each project. His commitment to doing things the right way, guided by integrity and a genuine desire to build the best possible product, sets the tone for the entire Hackett Homes team.
Outside of work, Cameron enjoys golf, fishing, and traveling with his wife to new destinations. He’s also an avid motorsports enthusiast and enjoys sim racing from his home rig. Life in Bluffton suits him perfectly. The small-town feel and close-knit community provide the perfect backdrop for both his work and personal life.
Cameron is driven by the lasting impact of his work which is knowing that families will grow and make memories in the homes his team creates. “There’s something special about being able to point to a home and say, ‘I did that,’” he says. That pride in craftsmanship and community continues to fuel his motivation every day.
He lives by a guiding belief that duty—a word he feels has been forgotten in much of modern homebuilding—is at the core of his work. “If more people embraced their duty to their community,” he says, “the industry as a whole would improve ten-fold.”
A fun fact about Cameron: he graduated both high school and college in the same building, McAllister Field House at The Citadel, just four years apart.
